What is the typical reason to have the valves re-seated in your cylinder head. The valves in your cylinder head are a vital part in the engine having the correct compression in the cylinder to run correctly and efficiently. This means if the valves are bent , out of shape , covered in carbon or other materials the cylinder will be leaking compression. This will then result in bad fuel economy, additional fumes / smoke coming from the exhaust , NCT emissions test failure , poor power and drive-ability.

We offer valve re-seating starting from as little as €70+ vat for an 8 valve model and €110+ vat for a 16 valve model.

We offer our tappet clearance adjustment service only in conjunction with the valve re-seating service we offer. This is required on non adjustable tappet cylinder heads. We manually adjust the clearance between the bucket and camshaft which means the engine runs correctly and at the most silent it can.

When you are getting our valve re-seating service done this will cost €40+ vat extra.

Often on cylinder heads that arrive into us for pressure testing or machining the valve guides or seats are badly worn or damaged. We offer a guide or seat change for €80 + vat.
